Growing Our Team Means Better Access to Functional Medicine in Charleston

When I opened STAT Wellness Charleston, the goal was never simply to build a busy practice. It was to create a place where patients could feel heard, have the time to ask questions, and receive thoughtful, personalized care without waiting months to get started.

As our Charleston community has grown, so has the need for that kind of care.

That’s why I’m excited to welcome Georgia Garrett, DNP, as a new nurse practitioner at STAT Wellness Charleston — and even more excited about what adding Georgia means for our patients.

More access without sacrificing the way we care

Growth in healthcare only matters if it actually makes care better for patients.

Adding another experienced provider gives us the ability to increase appointment availability, welcome new patients sooner, and give our existing patients more support while maintaining the individualized approach that is central to how we practice functional medicine at STAT.

Georgia brings experience in oncology, family practice, and integrative direct primary care. That background has shaped an approach that fits naturally with ours: listen carefully, understand the whole person, look beyond an isolated symptom, and build a plan that makes sense for that individual.

She is especially passionate about helping patients navigate fatigue, optimize their health for longevity, and make sustainable changes that work in real life.

Building functional medicine care for Charleston

One of my favorite parts of watching STAT Charleston grow has been seeing how many people are looking for a different healthcare experience.

Sometimes that means digging deeper into persistent symptoms. Sometimes it means being proactive about metabolic health, hormones, gut health, energy, or longevity. And sometimes patients simply want a provider who has enough time to listen and help them understand the bigger picture.

Growing our clinical team allows us to serve more of those patients while continuing to provide the thoughtful, relationship-driven care we set out to create from day one.

Georgia Garrett, DNP, FNP-C, nurse practitioner at STAT Wellness Charleston in Charleston, SC.

Georgia is now accepting new patients at STAT Wellness Charleston, and I’m incredibly excited to have her alongside me as we continue growing.
